I'm going to tell you a secret: the reason it can be so low is because it isn't really all that hard. You could learn to do it, if you wanted to. You probably have a business to run, though. Most people don't find it interesting, anyway.

If you're curious, right click anywhere on this page and choose the option that sounds most like "view page source". Look it over. Does it make you think, "That doesn't look so hard." or "I wonder what would happen if I changed that #EEEEEE to #000000?" (It changes from gray to black.) Well, first off, I'll register your domain name so that people can direct their web browsers to www.yoursite.com. Or whatever variation of that you desire; ".biz" is an option, so are ".net", and a bunch of others. This is, of course, subject to availability. It's also beyond our control. There is only one place web browsers recognize as Mary Jane Parker on the internet, and it doesn;t seem to have anything to do with a person named Mary. We'll talk about it and get you the best website name we can. The name we settle on will belong to you and you alone for one year.

I'll also set up a place that your website can exist on the internet, so others can find it. This place on the internet will also be yours for one year.

Now that your website has a home, we need to create the content that people will see when they come to visit. This can be pretty much anything you want, as long as you own it (or the rights to it). Of course, for $100, you can't expect to get too fancy.

What we have here, at brainweevil.com, is a three page website, plus a contact page and a subdomain that's all about food. For $100, I can give you up to three static pages. The simplest functional company website can be contained on a single page listing all of the things a large yellow pages ad would.
